Cockroaches

At night, cockroaches emerge from their hiding spots to seek out various types of food items and starchy materials, including book binding glues. During the day, they commonly gather in dark areas like inside kitchen cabinets, under sinks, behind plumbing fixtures, in closets, behind appliances and baseboards, and around bathroom fixtures. American and Oriental roaches are known to hide beneath buildings or in dark, damp, protected environments.

To effectively control cockroach populations, it is necessary to address their basic needs for food, water, and shelter. This involves removing food sources, minimizing water availability, and eliminating potential hiding places. Implementing good sanitation practices, promptly disposing of garbage, storing pet foods in sealed containers, and carrying out structural repairs to keep them out are important steps in controlling these pests. Additionally, sealing off entry points with caulking and screens helps to prevent them from entering structures.
